"Friends of Baldwin" recognize
that the exceptional beauty of Baldwin County is threatened by
rapid, unplanned growth and we unite citizens to preserve our
scenic beauty and quality of life.
We are committed to work within the following areas: Communication Act as a hub to research and distribute information to member groups, media and the public at large. Advocacy Advocate policies of responsible land use that support responsible development and protect our homes, economy and quality of life long term. We also support political officials who support these strong goals. Preservation Act as a watch-dog over governments or individuals who pollute our waterways and destroy green space and find ways to promote maintaining open spaces for posterity. Coordination Work with existing municipal, county and state agencies to plan for responsible growth; and build our organization across the entire county because one area’s precedent is another area’s problem. |
