Zoning Issues

 

Zoning is for the benefit of everyone. The purpose of zoning is to enable communities and governmental entities to make informed decisions in order to maintain safe and sustainable communities, environmental integrity and economic vitality.

 
 
     District 18 (begins at Robertsdale's southern municipal boundary and surrounds unincorporated areas around Summerdale/Foley neighboring  Magnolia Springs and Elberta ) is proceeding towards the zoning referendum in their District set for October 28 with voting to be conducted at 20189 Hadley Road in Foley  (east of Hwy. 59,  1/4 mile north of County Rd. 24 ) between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm. Prior to Election Day, there will be 3 Town Hall Meetings for citizen input and questions. The meetings are scheduled as follows:
 
     Mon., Oct. 20 at the Baldwin Co. Central Annex in Robertsdale from 6-8 p.m.
     Wed., Oct. 22 at the Baldwin Co. EMC in Summerdale from 6-8 p.m.
     Mon., Oct.27 in the Foley City Council Chambers from 6-8 p.m.
 
     Circuit Clerk Jody Campbell will provide services for absentee voting at the October 20 Town Hall Meeting and there are absentee ballot applications on www.sos.state.al.us.
 
     To pass, the initiative must receive 50% plus 1 of registered voters.
 
     Friends of Baldwin asks everyone in District 18 or with friends or relatives, etc. in District 18 to strongly encourage them to vote and support the vote in favor of the referendum. 
 
    Contributions in any amount for costs associated with this election, advertising, yard signs, and printing would be greatly appreciated. Any excess contributions will be passed along to Planning District 21 who is following this process. Please mail contributions to;
